Danish boycott last year did effect the danish economically.

The Danish publication of offensive cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sparked off international protests by Muslims with many deaths occurring as a result. However, by far the most effective protest that was organised was a boycott of Danish goods.

It is estimated that just one company, Arla Foods which exports to the Middle East, lost up to USD$1.6 million per day during the boycott and Novo Nordisk lost a 200 million kronor contract in Turkey. The estimated cost to the Danish economy was estimated at around 7.5 billion kronor with worries about a potential loss of 11,000 Danish jobs. This sent Danish ministers scurrying around the world to try and heal ties with Muslim countries - a result that no amount of effigy burning would ever achieve.

Therefore, some strongly suggest to Muslims all over the world that if Wilders does make this film, copy the example set out during the Danish boycott as well as the current Godrej boycott in India and hit the Netherlands exactly where it hurts - right in its GDP.
